  • Averte Program

Rebecca has been a valued member of the Averte team since 2003. She began her career in the 1990s with the Head Start organization, where she developed a strong foundation in early childhood and family support services. She later served as Director of the Orange County Parent and Child Center, providing leadership and oversight for a range of family-centered programs.

After starting a family, Rebecca transitioned to part-time work and joined Averte, initially maintaining a small caseload. Over time, her role has expanded to include increased direct client contact, as well as leading and co-leading therapeutic groups across several Averte residences.

Rebecca has specialized training in mindfulness-based cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), the therapeutic use of expressive arts, and behavioral activation. She integrates these approaches into her work to support clients in developing greater self-awareness, emotional regulation, and engagement in meaningful activities.

Rebecca lives locally with her husband and two children. She brings a wealth of experience, compassion, and creativity to her work with clients and colleagues alike.
