There are many meaningful ways beyond a traditional gift to support Trivium Life Services and its Averte program. Each financial situation is unique, and there are a variety of giving methods available to help you fulfill your charitable goals.

Donor Advised Funds

Donor Advised Funds offer a flexible and convenient way to support Trivium Life Services and the Averte program. If you have established a donor advised fund, you can recommend a grant to Trivium at any time.

Many donors choose this option because it allows them to:

  • Make charitable gifts at their own pace
  • Recommend grants when it’s most meaningful
  • Support multiple organizations easily

To recommend a grant, simply search for Trivium Life Services through your donor advised fund provider.

Gifts of Stock and Appreciated Securities

Donating appreciated stocks, bonds, or mutual funds may allow you to make a larger impact while also receiving potential tax benefits. Many donors choose to give appreciated securities to avoid capital gains taxes and support Trivium’s mission in a meaningful way.

Upon reaching out to our team, we will work with you to provide transfer instructions and ensure your gift is directed according to your wishes.

IRA Charitable Rollover

If you are age 70½ or older, you may be able to make a gift directly from your IRA to Trivium Life Services. This type of gift, often called a Qualified Charitable Distribution, can help satisfy your required minimum distribution while supporting the individuals we serve.

Your IRA Charitable Rollover can:

  • Reduce taxable income
  • Satisfy required minimum distributions
  • Provide meaningful support to Trivium and its Averte program

Please consult your financial advisor to determine if this option is right for you.

Gifts In-Kind

Donations of goods and items help meet real, day-to-day needs across our programs. From household items and furnishings to supplies used in services and supports, in-kind gifts provide meaningful, practical assistance.

An Amazon Wish List of highly needed items can be found HERE. When you make a purchase, the item ships directly to the appropriate location and is often put to use right away. These are items that are used regularly in our programs and support individuals in very practical, everyday ways. This is one of the simplest ways to give and know your gift is meeting an immediate need.

We also accept donations of gently used items, including furniture and household goods, when they align with current program needs.

Due to space and storage limitations, we ask that all gently used donations are coordinated in advance. Please contact Sarah Karkowski, Director of Annual Giving, at [email protected] or by phone at 712-256-7888 to discuss your donation of gently used items.
